This policy explains what information REDØUBT (“the Game”, “we”, “us”) handles, why, and what your choices are. It covers all the places you can play: the browser game at play.hayterwave.com, the pages at redoubt.hayterwave.com, the Windows build, and the Android app. We built REDØUBT to collect as little as possible.
Your progress, meaning your base layout, unlocks, currencies (DATA SHARDS,
BLACKBOX), cosmetic choices, settings, and purchase entitlements, is saved
locally. In the browser this uses localStorage. In the app it uses
standard app storage. We do not receive a copy of it unless you turn on cloud
saves. Clearing your browser data, using the in-game reset, or uninstalling the
app removes it.
Cloud saves, leaderboards, clans and player-versus-player raids are optional. If you use them, you create an account with a username you choose and a numeric PIN. The PIN is salted and hashed before storage, so we cannot read it. We never ask for your real name, email address, or phone number, and there is no third-party or social sign-in.
When online features are in use, our server stores:
Chat messages are visible to other players. Do not post personal information in them. The backend runs on Cloudflare (Workers and D1); Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf and keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.
The Game itself uses browser storage for your save and settings, not for tracking. Our advertising partner, Google, sets and reads cookies in your browser, and uses device identifiers in the app, in order to serve and measure ads. See the next section for how to control this.
On the web, ads are served by Google AdSense, including H5 Games Ads shown between rounds and optional rewarded ads. As a third party vendor, Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
In the Android app, ads are served by Google AdMob, which may process your device's advertising identifier, coarse location inferred from IP address, and ad interaction data.

In-app purchases in the Android app are processed by Google Play Billing, with RevenueCat used to validate and restore what you own. Payments made over Bitcoin and the Lightning Network are settled directly to our wallet. In every case, we never see or store your card details. We receive only a purchase token and a product identifier, or a Lightning payment confirmation, so we can grant and restore your items.
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise GPS location, or microphone or camera data. We do not sell your personal information.
REDØUBT is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Where a user is identified as child-directed, ads are handled under Google Play Families and AdMob child-directed settings. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above will change, and material changes will appear here before they take effect.
